With this new series we might set a new bar in bringing out one of the coolest Japanese whisky bottlings out there. 7EVEN Gods of Fortune contains in total 7 bottlings which will be released from 2022 until 2025.
Since the middle ages, the 7 gods of fortune have been worshipped in Japan, especially during the new year. Each god generally represents good fortune but also carries certain characteristics and associations.
Ebisu, the god of luck always smiles and is often dressed as a fisherman – it’s the patron god of fisherman and merchants. Today he symbolises not only safe sailing and plentiful fishing, but business prosperity for merchants in all trades and success to people in any occupation.
Edition 1 Ebisu is bottled at 64.5% and has an outturn of 220 bottles in total. This whisky has been aged in an ex bourbon barrel 2nd fill ex peated with cask number #7075. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2022.
