With this new series we might set a new bar in bringing out one of the coolest Japanese whisky bottlings out there. 7EVEN Gods of Fortune contains in total 7 bottlings which will be released from 2022 until 2025.

Since the middle ages, the 7 gods of fortune have been worshipped in Japan, especially during the new year. Each god generally represents good fortune but also carries certain characteristics and associations.

The 2nd god in the 7even Gods of Fortune series is HOTEI. Hotei is the god of happiness and abundance. Hotei has a cheerful face and a big belly. He is widely recognized outside of Japan as the fat, happy or laughing Buddha. He carries a large cloth bag on his back; one that never empties, for he uses it to feed the poor, the needy and children.
